Take Your Science to the Streets

Are you a woman, non-binary, or genderqueer person working in science?
Are you passionate about your research in STEM?
Do you love sharing your science with others?
Then be a part of this year’s Soapbox Science event!
Soapbox Science is an exciting science communication event with a dual mission:
- To bring science to the public in an accessible, engaging, and inclusive way, reaching people who may not otherwise have the time, interest, opportunity, or resources to attend traditional science events
- To challenge stereotypes in science and increase the visibility of women and non-binary scientists.
Soapbox Science is a global initiative, taking place in countries all over the world. Since 2020, it has been organized annually in the Rheinland region—hence the name Soapbox Science Rheinland. This local event is a collaborative effort between the universities of Düsseldorf and Cologne, driven by the excellence clusters ML4Q, CEPLAS, and CECAD.
This year’s event will take place on June 28, in the heart of Düsseldorf.
