Six early-career associates receive the ML4Q Young Investigator Award
The ML4Q Young Investigators Award honors early-career researchers for key contributions to ML4Q, in particular, for achievements or endeavors that require the collaboration between different sites.
The respective grants were awarded to six largely independent researchers that are still on an ongoing career path. This way, the cluster provides a stepping stone for the career of younger researchers on their way to full academic independence.
The award ceremony was part of the annual PI afternoon on November 4 in Cologne. The awards were handed over by Simon Stellmer, cluster site representative of the University of Bonn and Strategy Board member. The award winners are Andrea Bergschneider (Bonn), Christian Dickel (Cologne), Annika Kurzmann (Aachen), Gláucia Murta (Düsseldorf), Julian Schmitt (Bonn) and Peter Schüffelgen (Jülich). The award is endowed with 5000 Euros that can be spent on consumables for collaborative projects but can also be used to foster meetings and discussions between the collaborating research groups.
