Spring R(h)ein Quantum School 2025 Draws Global Participation

From March 24 to 28, 2025, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf hosted the Spring R(h)ein Quantum School, a dynamic week-long event dedicated to quantum information science. Organized by the Institute for Theoretical Physics III and supported by the ML4Q Cluster of Excellence, the school welcomed more than 50 participants from ten different countries.

The program offered six in-depth courses led by internationally recognized experts in the field: Roope Uola (Stockholm University), Mariami Gachechiladze (TU Darmstadt, former ML4Q postdoc), Anna Sanpera (University of Barcelona), Gláucia Murta (TU Vienna, former ML4Q postdoc), Benjamin Brecht (University of Paderborn), and David Gross (University of Cologne, ML4Q principal investigator). Their lectures covered a broad spectrum of quantum science — from the fundamentals of entanglement and quantum algorithms to cutting-edge experimental approaches.

Beyond the academic program, participants engaged in a vibrant social and scientific exchange. Many students presented their own projects through talks and poster sessions, impressing both peers and instructors with the quality and diversity of their work.
