In Next stop ML4Q, young scientists joining our cluster talk about their career steps before moving to one of our universities. Watch in this episode Erwann Bocquillon.

Erwann was appointed by the University of Cologne to start his ML4Q professorship in October 2021. He joined the Institute of Physics II and is currently building up his new lab to do research on topological quantum computing architectures. Erwann moved to Cologne after having spent 5 years as a permanent researcher at CNRS, working in Laboratoire de Physique de l’ENS where he did research on 2D and 3D topological insulators, electron quantum optics in the quantum Hall effect regime as well as the dynamics and relaxation of Dirac fermions in graphene.
