ML4Q as part of the Quantum Alliance reacted to the government’s COVID-19 recovery fund which dedicates 2 billion euros for research on quantum technologies with a press release which stressed the crucial role of the German universities in educating and training future quantum scientists whose expertise in fundamental quantum research is essential in the innovation process. The €2 billion fund is part of a €40 billion package dedicated to investments in future technologies including quantum science and technologies, artificial intelligence as well as climate technologies (green section of the doughnut chart on the left; source: press and information office of the federal government).
