ML4Q Cleanroom Meeting
A monthly meeting on cleanroom-related technologies aims to join all ML4Q group members working in cleanroom facilities. The meeting addresses master students, PhD students, postdocs, and technicians. Subjects are selected on demand either within the last meeting or via Slack. This can be, e.g., instrumentation issues, processing issues or exchange of recipes.
Date and time: The meeting takes place online (roughly) every four weeks on Tuesday, 9:00-10:00 am (schedule below). Each session will start with short, informal presentations, followed by open discussion on current issues that participants have encountered during their work in the cleanrooms (partly intensified in breakout rooms).
Target audience: The meeting is open to all persons working in cleanrooms in the scope of ML4Q (even if not member). It is primarily aimed at students, postdocs, and technicians (no professors!). If you plan to attend and/or would like to receive e-mail announcements about the meetings, please register here or drop a line to the ML4Q Office. (Later removal from the list is accomplished by answering to one of the emails.)
Slack channel: We have created a Slack channel on the ML4Q Slack workspace where you can post suggestions and announcements for topics that you want to address in the next meeting. There, you can also discuss cleanroom-related issues online or post helpful information.
Orga team: The event is organized by Bingjie Chen (RWTH Aachen), Oliver Breunig (U Cologne), and Erik Zimmermann (FZ Jülich) with support from the ML4Q Office.

Overview of cleanroom facilities Aachen/Cologne/Jülich + open discussion
We will start with short overview talks about the cleanroom facilities at Aachen, Cologne, and Jülich.

Cleanroom cleanness + open discussion
The topic of this meeting will be a very natural and important one when working in cleanrooms, namely the topic of “cleanliness” itself. We will have speakers from Jülich and Aachen to present the fundamentals of avoiding contaminations and working cleanly. Afterwards we will hopefully proceed with a discussion of your own questions or issues that you faced during your cleanroom work.
If you would like to receive e-mail updates on cleanroom meetings and are interested in attending, please register below.
