From March 15th to 19th, more than 10.000 international physicists, scientists and students attended the APS’s first virtual event of this magnitude. Under the umbrella of the initiative Research in Germany, the Quantum Alliance provided detailed information on the German physics research landscape and about career and funding opportunities for scientists of all career stages.

“Research in Germany” is an initiative launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in 2006 to strengthen the international visibility of German research and to expand R&D collaboration between Germany and international partners.

On behalf of ML4Q, Felix Motzoi (PGI-8, Quantum Control, Forschungszentrum Jülich) participated in the online workshop “Doing Physics in Germany” where he shared his experience within the German research landscape. The workshop provided international researchers with insights into different research and funding opportunities and possible career paths in the field of physics in Germany.
